Expressive Reading for Children

Let's read aloud. Saturday mornings are a great time for children to awake and listen to an engaging and fascinating children's story. In our diverse communities, each culture has a story or narrative. From Walt Disney's classic stories, African-American fables, fairy tales, and myths to Dr. Seuss and great compelling stories of unsung heroes - we'll have a new children's story every week to listen along to while our readers bring young ears imagination and excitement. Children can listen and find themselves laughing and sometimes wondering what will happen next. It's a good way to encourage children to read on their own and share amazing stories by some of the greatest authors available. 

Volunteer and become a part of our weekly Saturday readers. Children love to hear amazing stories from different storytellers.  An animated storyteller captures a story in a special way that INSPIRES the spirit of reading, and also educate with interest along the way.  Get creative in reading. As we open the books to create the magic, we look forward to opening the minds of our youthful future hero listeners.
